Kasuari Wines has embarked on a mission to make wines of the highest caliber from the greatest and proven California appellations: Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel from Napa Valley and across Sonoma County, Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley, and Syrah from Sonoma County. 

Using an old world approach we feel that flavors begin in the vineyard and that the terroir is specific to each variety. We have chosen each vineyard to yield the highest quality grapes possible. With careful attention in the vineyard, we monitor the grapevine’s balance and crop load to ensure the highest quality.

In the winery, natural winemaking practices are used in a quest to make artistic,handcrafted wines that reflect our passion to provide the most enjoyable wine drinking experience. Each wine is hand crafted with naturally occurring yeast handling the fermentations. We gently destem all fruit and often put whole clusters in the fermenter!


Never fined or filtered these wines represent the vineyard and terroir as it should be at its very best!

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

 
 
A bold mix of classic Cabernet flavors unfold in the glass with lavish plum, blackberry and cassis fruit accompanied coffee, chocolate and toffee typical of hillside fruit. New French Oak barrels from the Nevers and Troncais used during aging add spice and sage aromas.

Match this Cabernet Sauvignon with full flavored dishes including beef, lamb and duck. While this wine will age gracefully beyond ten years, we recommend decanting several hours in advance if consumed before 2010.

2006 Napa Valley Zinfandel - Rose Knoll

Gobs of massive asian plum, lush blackberry, Jamaican all spice with a touch of black pepper. New Oak from the Nevers forest in France contributes to this spicy complexity.

2007 Pinot Noir ~ Sonoma Coast ~ Peters Vineyard

Blackcherry jam, strawberry notes, and violets to the classic aromas of dried rose petal found in great Pinot Noir. New Oak from the Allier forest in France allows the wine to age gracefully to perfection.
